His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel Arrived At Strasbourg
The Patriarch of Romania arrived at Strasbourg today, 9 April 2011, 14.15 hours (local time). His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel was met at the International Strasbourg Airport by Mr. Stelian Stoian, permanent representative of Romania at the Council of Europe, Mr. Marcel Alexandru, General Consul of Romania at Strasbourg and by Rev. Vasile Iorgulescu, parish priest of the Romanian Orthodox church of “Saint John the Baptist” in Strasbourg, as George Valcu, Trinitas TV correspondent at Starsbourg informs us.
The members of the delegation accompanying the Primate of the Romanian Orthodox Church are: His Eminence Iosif, Romanian Orthodox Metropolitan of the Western and Meridional Europe, His Eminence Casian, Archbishop of Lower Danube, Rev. Sorin Selaru, director of the Romanian Patriarchate Representation at the European Institutions and Mr. Adrian Lemeni, State Secretary for Religious Affairs.
An important moment of the canonical visit of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel to Strasbourg will take place tonight, when His Beatitude will celebrate a memorial service and consecrate two memorial crosses in the Romanian military cemetery in Haguenau locality, 30 km North of Strasbourg.
