His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel addressed a message of condolences to the Prime Minister of Romania
The Press Office of the Romanian Patriarchate informs us:
As a result of the passing away of Mr. Ioan Boc, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel addressed the following message of condolences to Mr. Prime Minister Emil Boc and to the mourning family:
To
Family of Mr. Emil Boc
Prime Minister of the Romanian Government,
Dear Mr. Prime Minister,
Bereaved family,
Mourning audience,
We learned with sorrow about the passing away of your father, Ioan Boc.
Beloved by those around and by his family, Mr. Ioan Boc represents, for those who knew and loved him, the model of the “Christian parent”, a father who grew up his children in love for the Romanian traditions and values of the Christian family.
Father of five children, his worthy descendents, Ioan Boc dedicated his life to his family, having the conscience of the accomplished duty.
His family, friends and close acquaintances live this loss today with great sorrow that can be comforted only through prayer and pious grateful commemoration for what Mr. Ioan Boc gave throughout his lifetime.
During these moments of sadness and mourning we remember the urge of Saint Paul the Apostle who says: “... do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him”. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14).
At this time of temporary separation till the universal resurrection, we pray Christ, our Saviour, Risen from the dead, to rest the soul of His servant Ioan with the righteous, in the light of the Kingdom of Heaven where there is no sorrow, sadness, sighs, and to give to the mourning family and to all those who loved and appreciated him, comfort and strength of the soul.
May he be remembered from generation to generation!
With fatherly condolences and blessings for the bereaved family,
† Daniel,
Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church
