Cooperation Protocol between the Romanian Patriarchate and the Health Ministry

Today, July 24, at the Patriarchal Residence, a landmark cooperation protocol between the Romanian Patriarchate and the Public Health Ministry was signed. The Romanian Patriarchate was represented by His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, whereas the government was represented by His Excellency Eugen Nicolaescu, Minister of Public Health.

The protocol, titled 'Medical and Spiritual Assistance,' aims to give a legal framework to the joint programs of the two institutions, which provide medical assistance together with social and spiritual assistance. The two sides seek to raise awareness within communities and unfold prevention campaigns, with the purpose of developing a community physically, psychically, socially and spiritually healthy.
