Tonight, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel was carolled by “Datina romaneasca” vocal group within the “Romanian tradition” Association of Bucharest.
As Trinitas Radio station informs us, the Patriarch of our Church spoke in the end about the need to preserve our ancient customs.
“Thank you very much for these Romanian folk tradition inspired by the Christian faith and we congratulate you for continuing and increasing them. Your carols are also accompanied by the Romanian folk costumes, very diversified and impressing. We wish you all the help of God in every good thing you do, Merry Christmas and to announce with joy and peace the feast of the Nativity of the Lord just like the angels present at the holy moment of the Nativity of Jesus Christ, our Lord, at Bethlehem, and as promoters of our Orthodox faith and defenders of and continuators of our Romanian values”.
The group members received presents on behalf of the Primate of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
