In the opening of the session, an anniversary moment on the occasion of the passing, on February 4, 2010, of 85 years since the elevation of the Romanian Orthodox Church to the rank of Patriarchate (February 4, 1925). His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel underlined the significance of this historical moment and evoked the memory of the five blessed patriarchs of the Romanian Orthodox Church who passed away, Miron Cristea, Nicodim Munteanu, Justinian Marina, Iustin Moisescu and Teoctist Arapasu. Next, because the five patriarchs had the common desire to build a Cathedral for the Salvation of the Nation, the documentary with the title 'The Cathedral for the Salvation of the Nation, Your Gift for Eternity,' produced by the TRINITAS TV station of the Romanian Patriarchate. The film presents the actions of the last two years by the Romanian Patriarchate to create the project needed for the construction of the future Patriarchal Cathedral. According to the calendar set by the appropriate department of the Patriarchal Administration, the construction of the new Patriarchal Cathedral will debut in August 2010, according to the flier titled 'The Cathedral for the Salvation of the Nation, Your Gift for Eternity,' recently edited by the Romanian Patriarchate.
