Liturgical Ministry of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel on the Feast of the Nativity of the Lord

The Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ was celebrated this year with great joy in the Romanian Orthodox Church. At the Holy Liturgy on the day of the feast, in all churches in the Romanian Patriarchate was read the pastoral letter of each diocese's bishop towards their faithful. At the Patriarchal Cathedral in Bucharest, the Holy Liturgy was celebrated by His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel. The church was crowded since the first hours of the morning of Friday, December 25. After the Holy Gospel was read, the Romanian Patriarch explained the evangelical fragment and the meaning of this great feast, underlining that the purpose of the Incarnation is our adoption. At the end of the holy service, His Beatitude blessed as protosingel Rev. Siluan Ionascu, the former abbot of the Sitaru Monastery, who is also Financial Counselor of the Bucharest Archdiocese.
