At the feast of the Falling Asleep of the Mother of God (15 August), His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church will participate in the celebration of the dedication day of Putna Monastery, foundation of Saint Steven the Great and Holy and a traditional monastic settlement of the Romanian faith, spirituality and culture.
On this occasion, the Patriarch of Romania will consecrate the painting of the voivodal church and will celebrate the Divine Liturgy, assisted by a group of hierarchs, priests and deacons, on a podium specially arranged in the monastery precincts.
On 15 August 2010, in the afternoon, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel will consecrate and inaugurate the consulting room of Saint Great Martyr Pantelimon and the xenodochium of Saint Daniil the Hermit of Putna Monastery.
