Saturday, November 7, 2009, after the official welcoming in the Episcopal Cathedral with the feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Buzau, the Romanian Patriarch will visit the new museum of the Diocese of Buzau and Vrancea.
Sunday, November 8, 2009, at 9 a.m., His Beatitude will consecrate the new Episcopal Cathedral with the feast of the Ascension of the Lord and will celebrate the Holy Liturgy, surrounded by hierarchs, priests and deacons.
The Holy Liturgy will be followed, at 12 p.m., by the ceremony of elevation in rank of the Diocese of Buzau and Vrancea to the rank of Archdiocese, following the decision of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church taken in its working session of June 18-19, 2009.
At the end of the canonical visit of the Diocese of Buzau and Vrancea, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel will bless and inaugurate the 'Holy Martyr Constantin Brancoveanu' Hall within the Archdiocesan Residence, recently painted.
