Yesterday, on December 1, the National Day of Romania, at the Patriarchal Cathedral in Bucharest took place, following the Holy Liturgy, a Te Deum service celebrated by His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel. His Beatitude explained on this occasion the importance of this solemn day and its great significance for the life of our people. According to Church tradition, on December 1, the National Day of Romania, at the Patriarchal Cathedral in Bucharest and in all Diocesan Cathedrals, as well as in some monasteries and parish churches, a Te Deum service was celebrated and the heroes of the Romanian people were commemorated.

His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel reminded that unity and freedom are gifts of God, but which have to be cultivated, especially in a world marked by the tendency of division, isolation, self-sufficiency and egotism.
