At the end of the celebration, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel talked about today's anniversary, which is in relation with the obtaining of the freedom of the Romanian people following the 1877 Independence War, and as a result of the achievement of national unity on December 1, 1918. Also, His Beatitude underlined that the organization of the Romanian Orthodox Church as Patriarchate means dignity, but also responsibility and sacrifice in the service of the values of Orthodoxy on a national and international level. Decisive for the establishment of the Romanian Patriarchate was the cooperation between the Romanian Orthodox Church and the Romanian State.
