Today, 6 July 2010, the Divine Liturgy and the Te Deum were celebrated before beginning the Holy Synod session, as traditional. His Grace Sofian Brasoveanul, Assistant Bishop to the Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese of Germany, Austria and Luxembourg celebrated the Divine Litugy assisted by a group of priests and deacons. His Grace Sofian Brasoveanul has also celebrated the Te Deum service in the presence of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.
The Holy Synod working session began this morning, at the Patriarchal Residence of Bucharest and will end tomorrow, 7 July. Tomorrow, at 1.00 o’clock p.m., the winners of the design contest for the Cathedral of the Nation’s Salvation organized by the Romanian Patriarchate will be awarded prizes in “Patriarch Teoctist” Aula Magna of the Patriarchal Palace, in the presence of the Holy Synod hierarchs and of the members of the standing meetings of the Church National Council and of the Archdiocese of Bucharest.
