His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel granted the Patriarchal Cross in the 1st degree to Rev. Archimandrite Benedict Sauciuc, the abbot of the Neamt Monastery, and the honor diploma 'Holy Apostle Andrew' to several people who supported the construction of the chapel and of the building of the abbacy. His Beatitude also explained how the two protector saints, Holy King Stefan the Great and Righteous Benedict of Nurcia, were chosen.
Subsequently, Rev. Archimandrite Benedict Sauciuc offered icons with the Most Holy Mother of God to His Beatitude and to the other bishops attending the event.
The chapel consecrated today was arranged in the building of the abbacy of Neamt Monastery between 2004-2007, with the blessing of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel, who was then Metropolitan of Moldavia and Bukovina, who also blessed the abbacy in 2007.
