Feast of the Baptism of the Lord at the Patriarchal Cathedral
The Press Office of the Romanian Patriarchate informs us:
On 6 January 2011, feast of the Baptism of the Lord, after the Divine Liturgy officiated in the Patriarchal Cathedral, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel will celebrate the consecration service of the holy water in front of the Patriarchal Residence, around 11.30 hours.
Today, 5 January 2012, on the eve of the Baptism of the Lord, an ice cross bedecked with fir branches, flowers and basil was put in the courtyard of the Patriarchal Cathedral.
There are also several barrels of water of over 6,000 l which will be offered to the faithful present at the Patriarchal Cathedral after consecration on the occasion of the Baptism of the Lord.
