From 24 – 25 October 2011, the working session of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church takes place under the chairmanship of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.
On the first day of the session the hierarchs of the Holy Synod elected, by secret ballot with 35 votes for our of 42 expressed, Rev. Archimandrite Ignatie Trif as Assistant Hierarch of the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Spain and Portugal, with the title Muresanul.
