Saturday, 17 December 2011, feast of Saint Daniil the Prophet, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel will celebrate his name day.
On this occasion, at 9.30 hours a.m., the Patriarch of Romania will celebrate the Divine Liturgy in the Patriarchal Cathedral and say a thanksgiving prayer to God “for the mercy and help given to the Romanian Orthodox Church, to the Romanian Orthodox Church and to the Romanian people and to His Beatitude for promoting Orthodox faith and mission”.
Further on, a short anniversary festivity will take place at 12.00 hours in “Europa Christiana” room of the Patriarchate Palace.
All those willing to congratulate His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel on the occasion of his name day, members of the Holy Synod, personalities of the public life, clergy and faithful are expected to come.
The Patriarch of Romania will offer the “Pastoral letter on the Nativity of the Lord 2011” to all those present.
