Monday, 24 October 2011, on the occasion of the feast of Saint Dimitrios the New, Protector of Bucharest the Holy Head of Saint Andrew the Apostle, Protector of Romania, will be brought from Patras (Greece), by a delegation of the Orthodox Church of Greece, headed by His Eminence Metropolitan Hrisostom of Patras.
The holy relics of Saint Andrew the Apostle will be on the Patriarchate Hill for the faithful to worship it till Friday, 28 October 2011, 20.00 hours.
Further on, on 28 October 2011, in the afternoon, on the occasion of the proclamation of the canonisation of Saint Hierarch Andrei Şaguna, Metropolitan of Transylvania, the Holy Head of Saint Andrew the Apostle will be taken in procession to the metropolitan cathedral of Sibiu, where it will remain till 29 October 2011, in the afternoon.
On 29 October 2011, the Holy Head of Saint Andrew the Apostle will be taken to the archiepiscopal cathedral of Alba Iulia, where it will remain till 31 October 2011.
On 31 October 2011, in the evening, the delegation of the Orthodox Church of Greece will return to Bucharest, and next day, on 1 November 2011, will be taken back to Greece.
