On the occasion of this anniversary event, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel celebrated the hierarchic Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Cathedral. Some other members of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church celebrated too, assisted by a group of priests and deacons.
After the Divine Liturgy, a Te deum service was celebrated in the presence of the Patriarch of Romania, as thanksgiving and gratitude for the achievements in the life of the Romanian Orthodox Church during the fourth year of patriarchal service of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.
After the celebration of the Te Deum service, His Eminence Andrei, Archbishop of Vad, Feleac and Cluj and Metropolitan of Cluj, Alba, Crisana and Maramures addressed a speech to those present in which he emphasised the achievements of the Romanian Orthodox Church during the four years of patriarchal service of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.
During this anniversary festivity, His Grace Ciprian, Assistant Bishop to the Patriarch, offered to His Beatitude a set of holy vessels on behalf of the servant priests of the Patriarchal Cathedral, while His Grace Varsanufie Prahoveanul offered a Holy Gospel made at the Workshops of the Romanian Patriarchate at Popesti Leordeni on behalf of the members of the Holy Synod present, and of the standing meeting of the deaneries of the Archdiocese of Bucharest.
His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel delivered a speech for those present in which “he thanked God for the achievements bestowed over the hierarchs members of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church, over the clergy and our righteous faithful”.
His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel thanked those present and mentioned that the building of the Cathedral for the Nation’s Salvation is a duty of the Romanian people and a sign of gratitude to God.
After the celebration of Te Deum, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church consecrated new television machinery needed for Trinitas TV station.
The machinery purchased will be used for live broadcasting of the religious events from various parts of the country.
The event dedicated to the anniversary of four years since the enthronement of His Beatitude Daniel as Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church continued with a festive moment held in “Patriarch Teoctist” Aula Magna of the Patriarchal Palace, with the participation of some hierarchs, members of the Holy Synod and of representatives of the central and local authorities.
To start with the event, State Counsellor Claudiu Constantin Dinu read the message of Mr. Traian Basescu, President of Romania, on the occasion of this anniversary event, and State Secretary Adrian Lemeni read the message of Mr. Emil Boc, Prime Minister of Romania.
Further on, His Grace Ciprian Campineanul, Assistant Bishop to the Patriarch, presented some of the most important achievements within the synthesis on the activity of the Romanian Patriarchate and of the Archdiocese of Bucharest, synthesis published in today’s edition of “Lumina” newspaper.
His Grace Ciprian Campineanul also presented the book entitled “Faith for Good Deeds”, recently appeared at Basilica publishing house of the Romanian Patriarchate which renders the involvement of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel in the pastoral-missionary work of the Church.
Trinitas Television station has also broadcast a documentary of the Romanian Patriarchate presenting the construction works of the Cathedral for the Nation’s Salvation during the last year.
To end with, His Beatitude Daniel, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church delivered a blessing speech in which he thanked all those who conveyed messages of congratulation, as well as those who contributed to the organisation of this event. His Beatitude has also showed that today His Grace Varsanufie Prahoveanul, Assistant Bishop to the Archdiocese of Bucharest is celebrated, at the anniversary of ten years since his ordination as bishop and congratulated him.
