The Holy Light will be offered at the Resurrection Liturgy (12 p.m.) by His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel to the clergy and faithful present at the Patriarchal Cathedral.
The event has a special significance also because this year we celebrate 650 years since the official recognizance of the Metropolitanate of Wallachia and from the passing away into eternity of Saint Gregory Palamas, theologian of the Light of the heavenly grace, whose holy relics will be brought to Bucharest for veneration between April 29 – May 1, after which they will be available in Galati between May 1-4, 2009.
