After eight years of diplomatic mission in our country, Mr. Ambassador Yeghishe Sargysyan considers himself a friend of the Romanians and wished to thank for the hospitality and friendship of the Romanian people and of the Romanian Orthodox Church manifested towards the Armenian community in Romania throughout eight centuries of peaceful cohabitation.
His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel underlined the traditional good relations between the two peoples with a long rich Christian tradition, expressing his hope that Mr. Ambassador will continue to promote the cultural religious relations between the two countries, by organising pilgrimages to the holy places in Armenia and Romania as well.
