Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia at the Romanian Patriarchate
Today, 10 February 2011, His Grace Ciprian Campineanul, Assistant Bishop to the Patriarch, received, on behalf of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel, the visit of Mr. Grigol Vashadze, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia, who is paying a two-day official visit to Romania, as the Department for Church and Inter-religious Relations of the Romanian Patriarchate informs us.
During the meeting, the good relations between the Romanian Patriarchate and the Patriarchate of Georgia were emphasised. At the same time, the important role that Saint Hierarch Antim of Ivir, founder of Antim Monastery of Bucharest, had in the collaboration between the two sister Churches was underlined.
Also underscored was the cooperation between the two Churches, pointing out the need to keep the Orthodox unity in a world affected more and more by secularisation and division.
During the meeting, the good relations between the Romanian Patriarchate and the Patriarchate of Georgia were emphasised.
