Groups Of Carollers From Bistrita Nasaud, Galati And Bacau At The Patriarchate Palace
Today, 19 December 2011, His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church received several groups of carollers in “Europa Christiana” room of the Patriarchate Palace from Bistrita Nasaud, Galati and Bacau counties.

The choral group of Perisor parish, Zagra commune, county of Bistrita Nasaud, sang traditional carols. To end with, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel thanked the group of carollers: “We thank you and congratulate you. It is a very nice thing for you to preserve our Romanian traditional customs inspired by the Christian Orthodox faith, as well as the beauty of the folk costumes which praise God through their beautiful colours, because they show that man was created in the image of God, the Creator”.

Further on, the group of carollers of Liesti parish, deanery of Tecuci, county of Galati, carolled the Patriarch of Romania. To end with, His Beatitude congratulated them saying: “Congratulations for your beautiful carols and national costumes you are wearing. We wish you peace and joy and safe travel home”.

In the end, the members of “Speranta” choral group from Onesti, county of Bacau carolled His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel. His Beatitude blessed and congratulated the members of “Speranta” choral group: “We pray God to give you peace, joy and much help in your life. We congratulate you for trying to bring us joy in a feast time with happiness and peace, but also in times with many problems. We, the Christians bring joy where it is sadness, peace where it is trouble, and hope where it is loneliness and despair”.

To end with, all carollers received presents on behalf of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel.
