The central executive body of the Holy Synod and of the National Church Assembly, the National Church Council will analyze the entire internal and external activity of the Church in the year 2009 under the following aspects: pastoral-missionary, social-philanthropic, monastic, theological education, religion teaching in public schools, cultural patrimony, organizational, administrative, economical, relations with other faiths, care for the Romanian Orthodox communities abroad, inter-Chrurch and inter-religion relations, etc.
On February 9, 2010, at 10 a.m., in the Aula Magna 'Patriarch Teoctist' of the Patriarchate's Palace, under the presidency of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel, the yearly meeting of the National Church Assembly of the Romanian Orthodox Church will take place.
The central deliberative body of the Romanian Orthodox Church for administrative, social, cultural, economic and patrimonial problems, made up by the members of the Holy Synod and tree representatives (a cleric and two laymen) from each diocese, it will examine the Yearly General Report of the National Church Council concerning the activity of the Romanian Orthodox Church in 2009 and will take the necessary measures for the good development of Church life in the current year.
