Lucian Ducan gave several details on this event to Trinitas Radio station: “this year, too, a special liturgical programme was prepared at “Veniamin Costachi” Theological Seminary, at Neamţ Monastery, on the celebration day of Saint John Jacob the Hosevite, a liturgical programme embellished by the participation of hundreds of faithful from all over the country, of many priests and of three hierarchs of the Romanian Orthodox Church: His Eminence Teofan, Metropolitan of Moldova and Bucovina, His Eminence Iosif, Romanian Orthodox Metropolitan of the Western and Meridional Europe and His Grace Ioachim Băcăoanul, Assistant Bishop to the Archdiocese of Roman and Bacău. The three hierarchs celebrated the Divine Liturgy on a podium specially arranged in front of the Church dedicated to “Saint John Jacob the Hosevite”. To end with the religious service Rev. Ioan Miron, Director of the Seminary read the foreword signed by His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, to the book entitled “Saint John Jacob from Neamţ the Hosevite. Life. Poetry. Teaching”, a book recently published at Doxologia Editorial Office of the Metropolitan See of Moldova and Bucovina. His Eminence Metropolitan Iosif spoke to the faithful about the significance of the pericope of the day, and then His Eminence Metropolitan Teofan referred to the moment of the passing away of Saint John Jacob the Hosevite and read some of the poems by the Saint. Finally, Rev. Director Ioan Mihoc thanked all those present for their participation and offered the three hierarchs icons of Saint John Jacob the Hosevite painted by the students of the Seminary and a few books dedicated to the saint published by Doxologia Editorial Office. The programme of the day ended with the consecration of a road-side shrine located close to the church of “Saint John Jacob” in the precincts of the Theological Seminary at Neamţ Monastery”.
