The 25 members sang several traditional carols, and then were congratulated by His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel: “It is a very nice thing for the priests to be carollers too, not only missionaries with the icon at the Epiphany. Thus, they are first of all carollers and then shepherds who announce the Nativity of the Lord going from house to house icon in hand. It is a very good thing that this part of the country beautiful through nature, to be beautiful through culture too. I refer to Prahova region which has very beautiful traditions and which could become a sort of Bucovina of Wallachia, if one insists more on keeping the folklore, on reviving some traditions of Christian inspiration diminished or forgotten during the communist regime”, informs Trinitas Radio station.
To end with, the Patriarch of Romania rewarded the priests with gifts.
