Holy Head Of Saint Andrew The Apostle Has Left From The Patriarchate To The Metropolitanate Of Sibiu
The Holy Head of Saint Andrew the Apostle was in Bucharest from Monday, 24 October 2011, brought from Patras – Greece, by a delegation of the Orthodox Church of Greece led by His Eminence Metropolitan Chrisostom on the occasion of the manifestations dedicated to the Protector of Bucharest, Saint Pious Dimitrios the New.
This afternoon, at 16.30 hours, the Holy Head left for the Metropolitan Cathedral of Sibiu, together with His Beatitude Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa and His Eminence Chrisostom, Metropolitan of Patras, on the occasion of the proclamation of the canonisation of Saint Hierarch Andrei Saguna, Metropolitan of Transylvania, which will take place tomorrow, 29 October 2011, in the Metropolitan Cathedral of Sibiu where it will remain to be worshipped till 29 October 2011, in the afternoon.
