After the evocation of the events of 11 September 2001, there followed a meeting that His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel had, together with nine other personalities, with the President of Germany, His Excellency Christian Wulf, as Deacon Teodor Gradinaciuc, present in Munich, informed us. It was private meeting, where the press has no access.
The third day of the canonical visit continued with the participation of His Beatitude in the 25th International Meeting for Peace organised by Sant’Egidio Community, on the theme “Bound to Live Together”. The opening festivity began at 17.30 hours, when the Patriarch of Romania addressed a message entitled Wisdom for Co-Inhabiting.
Tonight, at 20.00 hours, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel met Dr. Hort Seehofer, Prime Minister of Bavaria land.
Tomorrow, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church will deliver a lecture entitled “Theological Dialogue and Ecumenical Co-operation”, within the forum on the theme “Christian Unity and Love for the poor”, organised as part of the International Meeting for Peace, where Mrs. Dr. Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany, will participate too.
