APPEAL FOR SOLIDARITY WITH THE VICTIMS OF THE HAITI EARTHQUAKE
As a sign of compassion and brotherly solidarity with those affected by the devastating earthquake in Haiti, which ended numerous human lives and caused huge material losses, the Romanian Patriarchate appeals to the Orthodox hierarchs, clergy and faithful from parishes and monasteries, asking them to organize fundraisers for the help of those injured and the grieving families in the aftermath of this devastating earthquake.
We ask that the collected sums be deposited in the following accounts of the Romanian Patriarchate:
RO54RNCB0075004895030091(Lei),
RO27RNCB0075004895030092 (Euro),
RO97RNCB0075004895030093 (USD)
with the specification 'PENTRU SINISTRATI', opened at the Romanian Commercial Bank.
The financial help from the Romanian Orthodox clergy and faithful will be offered by the Romanian Patriarchate directly to those who have suffered from the effects of this earthquake and to the homeless families in Haiti, with the hope that the generosity of the Romanian Orthodox Church will bring about a little spiritual comfort and help for the moral and material restoration of the harshly affected communities in this country in the Caribbean.
