His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel Celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Aubing, Munich

Today, 11 September 2011, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel celebrated the Divine Liturgy in Aubing, in Munich, assisted by a group of hierarch, priests and deacons, on a scene specially arranged. Many officials were present, among whom Mrs. Barbara Stumm, President of the Bavarian Parliament, Lazăr Comănescu, Romanian Ambassador in Germany, Mrs. Brânduşa Predescu, General Consul of Romania, as well as many Romanian faithful dressed in national costumes.

Archbishop Mark Arndt of Berlin and of all Germany within the Russian Church outside the Russian frontiers, as well as the Assistant Bishop Agapit of Stuttgard, were also present at the event.

Besides His Beatitude, the following hierarchs, members of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church were also present: His Eminence Teofan, Metropolitan of Moldova and Bucovina, His Eminence Laurenţiu, Metropolitan of Transylvania, His Eminence Serafim, Romanian Orthodox Metropolitan of Germany and Central and Northern Europe, His Eminence Iosif, Romanian Orthodox Metropolitan of Western and Southern Europe, His Grace Sofian Braşoveanul, Assistant Bishop to the Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese of Germany, Austria and Luxemburg.

From 9 – 12 September 2011, His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel, accompanied by a delegation of the Romanian Orthodox Church, pays a canonical visit to the Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese of Germany, Austria and Luxemburg, at the invitation of His Eminence Serafim, Metropolitan of Germany, Central and Northern Europe.
