Inauguration of the exhibition on Saint Luke the Physician by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew visited on Friday afternoon the Papageorgiou General Hospital in Thessaloniki. The administration invited the Ecumenical Patriarch to give a speech during the event organised for the 20th anniversary of the opening of the hospital.

In his speech, the Ecumenical Patriarch spoke of the pain and illness, which “the descendants of Adam experience”, Orhodoxtimes reports.

The Director of the Hospital, Vasilis Pappas, and Metropolitan Varnavas of Neapolis and Stavroupolis also gave a brief welcome speech. Papageorgiou family gave a gift to the Ecumenical Patriarch; an icon of the Holy Unmercenaries.

The Papageorgiou General Hospital has also organised for its 20th anniversary an exhibition on “Saint Luke the Physician, Art – Faith – Healing”.

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew inaugurated the exhibition after the end of the event that took place in the hospital amphitheatre.
