The refurbishment of the Monastery of Saints Joachim and Anna in Jerusalem was completed in September 2017, the official newsgate of the Jerusalem Patriarchate reports.
The Abbot of the Monastery, the Very Rev. Archimandrite Meletios carried out this project with an additional support from the donations made by pilgrims.
The restoration included the Church and the underground floors, where the shrines of St. Anna’s house and of the Nativity of Theotokos lie.
