King Michael’s coffin arrives at Lausanne Greek Orthodox Cathedral

On Monday, the coffin with the body of late King Michael I was laid at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Lausanne.

At 14.00, His Eminence Metropolitan Joseph of Western and Central Europe officiated a memorial service in Romanian, French, and Greek languages for the rest of King Michael’s soul in the presence of Princesses Elena and Sofia, as well as Mr. Alexander Philips Nixon. The service was attended by rector Rev. Alexandre Yossifidis, priests and nuns who are constantly watching on King Michael’s body until the departure to Romania.

According to the romaniaregala.ro website, the coffin will be brought to Romania on Wednesday
